Giovenco’s success today is built on the reputation we’ve established over 57 years delivering quality industrial services to Australia’s largest resource, power and infrastructure companies. The integrity of our work rests on our foundations as a family-owned company. As Executive Chairman Claudio Giovenco puts it, ‘all projects are run by the family with their hearts and their wallets in the project.’
Giovenco Industries began in 1955 with five brothers working ‘on the tools’ at the Caltex Refinery in Kurnell, NSW. The brothers decided to incorporate and, after only one year, they repaid the loan of their start-up capital. The brothers’ skills in industrial coatings remain a core Giovenco specialisation to this day.
Rapid growth followed our incorporation, with Giovenco adding new facilities in Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales. This coverage gives us the responsiveness to rapidly mobilise a local skilled workforce anywhere in Australia.
We soon ventured overseas, delivering projects from the Americas to Europe to the Pacific. We developed relationships with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship and with trans-national labour supply companies. As a result, we have immediate access to skilled labour ready for deployment for large projects.
Giovenco has now cemented its position as a leading multi-disciplined services provider responsible for protecting and maintaining industrial assets. We continue to foster long-term relationships with our clients. Fifty seven years on, Giovenco’s staff are still onsite at the Caltex refinery in Kurnell where we began, delivering quality results with integrity.
