After a successful delivery of the turnaround and inspection of tank 210 at Caltex Kurnell, Giovenco Industries has now been selected on the mechanical panel for the provision of tank mechanical repair services.
The journey begun by piloting a full T&I on a Light Cycle Gasoil (LCGO) service which involved a full floor and annular replacement along with some intricate shell remedial work. The team was brought together in August 2011 and delivered the project with no recorded injuries and on the scheduled return to Service. The result of this successful pilot has now positioned (GI) to broaden its mechanical stream in the field of tank overhaul as a registered panel provider.
A special thanks must be extended to the Giovenco team both at Ingleburn and the Kurnell site. In particular a special thanks to Zack Eshraghi, David Maddocks, Andrew Pierce and all the crew who all went above and beyond the call of duty in a very busy period to ensure that the deadlines were met in a safe manner and with the highest quality.
Looking forward to 2012 and beyond, we have now expanded our activities onto the Jet fuel and the Crude oil Service which will certainly keep us busy for a while.
