Clean Fuels is a government initiative aiming to reduce benzene levels in both petrol and diesel fuels through regulatory measures. The scope of the projects included a diesel hydrotreater revamp, grass roots light reformate benzene hydrogenation, sour water system debottleneck, and extensive offsite and utilities piping modification at Kurnell.
Giovenco Industries undertook this project with Parsons, Shedden Uhde, United KG, and Caltex from May 2005 to April 2006. Our work scopes include the total Painting, On-site Chartek fireproofing, Insulation and Scaffold material hire for the project. This expansion project allowed Caltex to refine fuels that will meet the new government regulations.
